Carole Addison Goyne
Formulation and Marketing
Carole Addison Goyne’s decade-long involvement in the aromatherapy field has encompassed evolving roles in education, product development and marketing. Her five-year tenure with Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy and its sister company, Original Swiss Aromatics, allowed her the unique opportunity to apprentice under Kurt Schnaubelt, one of the world’s leading authorities in the field of aromatherapy.
Through her position as Director of Education at Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy, Carole instructed aromatherapy certification seminars, coordinated academic aromatherapy conferences and edited aromatherapy publications. As the Manager of Original Swiss Aromatics, she educated clients about the company’s genuine and authentic essential oils and maintained quality control standards of the precious raw materials.
Carole’s appreciation of biodiversity, and its important contribution to therapeutic essential oils, expanded as she explored medicinal plants abroad. Sourcing essential oils directly from producers exposed her to the echelon of quality, which is harvested only from sowing pure intention. Carole’s observation of native cultures communing with their sacred plants carved a profound impression on her.
Carole consults and educates for aromatherapy companies, practitioners and schools. Within the last five years her services have included: designing the organic essential oil based aroma for a bourgeoning line of organic body care products, providing aromatherapy staff trainings for an international aromatherapy company, teaching aromatherapy classes at local stores and schools and providing international consultation on medicinal and aromatic plants.
In addition to her consultation services, Carole also works for a plant-based personal care company which is recognized world-wide for its high quality standards, recycled packaging program, direct sourcing of sustainable raw materials and triple bottom line philosophy: people, planet, profit.
Carole holds a Bachelors Degree in The Arts and Humanities with a Minor in German. In recent years, she has pursued further University studies in Chemistry to deepen her understanding of essential oils. In addition to teaching with Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy, Carole has also taught at The California School of Herbal Studies and The Annual Northern California Women’s Herbal Symposium. She is also involved in the development of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants in Morocco.
